Swatches Galore

Greetings from sunny Florida! The one good thing about being a grad student is having this nice long winter break ;P and lots of time to try out new nail polishes! See below:

OPI-My Pointe Exactly with OPI-Pirouette My Whistle:

I promise, the quality of the pictures get better after this!

OPI My Pointe Exactly- 5 coats, OPI Pirouette My Whistle- 1 coat.

OPI- My Pointe Exactly is a gray polish with a jelly base.  It is a bit of a pain as it requires around 5 coats for full opacity.  However, it is gorgeous with OPI- Pirouette My Whistle over it.  The combination reminds me of snow and ice skating.  The pictures that you see might not be the best quality, but the colors are extremely accurate.  Each Picture shows 5 coats of My Pointe Exactly and 1 coat of Pirouette My Whistle.  I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for a top coat.

Below is OPI -You Don't Know Jacques with China Glaze-Skyscraper as an accent nail:

OPI-YDKJ and ChG-Skyscraper

OPI YDKJ- 3 coats, and ChG Skyscraper- 3 coats.

Each picture shows 3 coats of You Don't Know Jacques, 3 coats of the Skyscraper accent nail, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for the top coat.

OPI-You Don't Know Jacques is one of my favorite nail polishes of all time.  The formula is practically flawless, I did not notice any bubbling, and it only needed 2 coats.  However, these pictures show 3 coats.

China Glaze-Skyscraper is also extremely easy to work with.  It is even more sparkly and beautiful in real life.  It only requires 2 coats for full opacity.  I used 3 coats for this picture.

Next up is OPI- Monsooner or Later.  I've never been a fan of reds, but I couldn't resist this.  It is a orange-y red,  similar to a tomato.

3 Coats of OPI- Monsooner or Later
The color was wonderful but the formula was a pain.  It made little pools  in the cuticles, and stained like crazy!  It's still in my top 10 though because the color is amazing! 3 coats above with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.

Well that's all for now!
